All In

Occasionally you stumble onto something so fantastic it doesn't seem real. Shein.com was one of those moments for me. There are a million websites that are no good that offer great deals that never pan out properly. Well, I took a chance and I am so happy I did.

I first saw this navy scallop dress on stylishpetite.com. Annie did a beautiful flat lay Instagram and reviewed the dress. After fawning over the scallops, I realized the dress was only $13.99. Let me write that again for you... $13.99! Of course the sirens were blaring in my head. There is no way that dress will fit right or be of any good quality. It most certainly does and is!

I paid attention to the sizing guides and used Annie's sizing recommendations to choose the XS. It's a little on the long side, but nothing too bad. It is a shift dress, so there is no shape. If you're not into that a belt around the waist will really pull a look together. Honestly, it's one of the most comfortable dresses I own. There is no stretch, but the fabric is actually quite soft. It is unlined, but not paper thin. A double thumbs up! I have even already ordered a second dress from the site and cannot wait to receive it.

Sunny Sunday Style

Sometimes the most fun outfits are the ones you just throw together because you need to run to the gas station for Gatorade and frozen Cokes. And my new bag from Aldo is the absolute best!

Tie Waist, Gingham, Eyelet! Oh my!

Generally, I am not a fan of the tie waist. With that being sad, I am loving it this summer season. It's not enough to make me want to buy a shirt that will forever and always have the tie waist, but switching it up from the normal tuck-in is fun. It works wonderfully with my off duty looks and spices up my work looks. I am especially loving this eyelet skirt from Loft. This will be it's second appearance this week. I believe it's sold out, but finding a white eyelet skirt in summer is as easy as spotting a firework on July 4th. It's the perfect outfit for holiday gatherings, shopping, and staring wistfully out the window at work waiting for a prospect.

And if you're feeling like a tie waist shirt is for you, check these out!

Saturday Lounge

If there is one thing that every one knows about me it's that I refuse to be in public in anything less than something stellar. Sweatpants are for the couch not the mall. However, with the rise of lounge wear the lines are being blurred. What is and is not technically pajamas is a little harder to classify. Scoffing at lines that produced lounge wear, I never paid it any attention. Yeah, it looked cool on those L.A. girls and the adorable mom bloggers, but I couldn't buy those pieces. I couldn't turn lounge wear pieces into work wear pieces. It has taken me a little bit, but I've finally come around. Maybe some clothing items don't have to work more than one way. Maybe I could calm down and buy something comfortable so I don't have to drag everything out of my closet to figure out what I want to wear for Netflix watching.

When the next round of shopping came up for my Fabletics account, I jumped at the chance to buy my first official lounge wear pieces. Sticking to what I love, I chose this chambray skirt and white tank. The outfit is fantastic and the separate pieces stand alone well. The top will work perfectly for fitness. The skirt I could probably dress up a little more for brunches or just switch it up with different off duty pieces. Fabletics has more chambray outfits on the site and they are all just as incredible. If you're not already signed up - you should get over there right now (click here)! Your first outfit is around $30 - you could get this exact outfit for only $30

Apologies for the bra straps - I don't own a nude strapless bra and I didn't want to wear a sports bra and the fabric is too thin to go braless.

The Perfect Tee

Tee: TopShop, Skirt: J. Crew Factory (similar here), Shoes: Aldo (similar here and here), Watch: Timex (similar here), Sunglasses: J. Crew Factory (similar here)

With summer basically here, I am always trying to find ways to look sharp and stay cool. Most of the shopping I tend to do is geared toward work wear (as I spend most of my time behind a desk). When I came across this scallop tee, I knew I had to have it - it's only $25! The fabric is soft and breathable. It's not pictured, but the bottom hem is scalloped as well as the sleeves. A white tee shirt can look more off duty than on duty, but the scallops definitely bring it up a bit more. It is perfect for work and lounging at home. It is quite boxy, but still flattering. If you're on the taller end and don't enjoy crop tops, you may want to consider going up a size. I highly recommend adding this to your summer wardrobe ASAP.
